Breathe London Pilot

The Breathe London Pilot project was a 2-year project funded by the Clean Air Fund and delivered by a consortium led by Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) and including the current partners (University of Cambridge, CERC, ACOEM and NPL). The sensor deployment was kept in place under a NERC grant until April 2021. The pilot website shows data from the Breathe London Pilot network of AQMesh static air quality sensors.

Breathe Cities

Breathe Cities is a first-of-its-kind initiative delivered by the Clean Air Fund, C40 Cities and Bloomberg Philanthropies to clean our air, cut carbon emissions and enhance public health in cities around the world. Inspired by pilots in Warsaw and London, Breathe Cities aims to tackle urban air pollution on a global scale, with programmes now running in 14 cities worldwide. It brings together air quality data, communities and city leaders in its mission to reduce air pollution and planet-warming emissions by 30% across participating cities by 2030. Achieving this 2030 goal would prevent an estimated 55,000 premature deaths and around 111,000 new cases of asthma in children, save $147 billion in avoided hospitalizations and deaths and avoid up to 394 megatonnes of CO2e emissions.
