Breathe London Awards
Are you working to improve air quality in your community/ healthcare setting/ school using Breathe London sensor or data?
The Breathe London Awards celebrate the incredible efforts of community groups, schools, hospitals, local authorities and local organisations working to improve air quality.
I’m thrilled to announce the launch of the first Breathe London Awards, shining a light on London’s visionaries and changemakers who use Breathe London data to improve air pollution in their communities. These awards recognise the creativity, commitment, and leadership driving change - aiming to inspire even more people to join the clean air movement to create greener, healthier communities.
The first phase of the Mayor’s groundbreaking Breathe London programme has transformed how Londoners tackle air pollution, giving communities and organisations access to real-time, hyperlocal data. Building on this success, the second phase aims to grow the network into a collaborative, community-driven air quality monitoring system, with a stronger focus on targeted engagement to help Londoners use sensor data to inspire local action. Together, we’re building a fairer city for everyone where clean air is a right, not a privilege.
Mete Coban, London’s Deputy Mayor for Environment and Energy
